Team Orange

A brief history of Team Orange......

The team started out playing street soccer at basketball court at school or at Blk 849. The Pioneers of the team are a group of close friends from Pioneer Secondary School, who for the passion of soccer, continued to ply their trade at basketball courts and occasionally at the SP or NP fields from 1996 to 2005.

Team Orange was officially formed in 2006 after the team purchased its first set of Orange jerseys. Over the last few years, friends, friends' friends and relatives were slowly introduced into the team to provide that additional zest. Although the team enjoys and thrives in competitive league games, the general consesus amongst the majority is still to enjoy a game of social football, kicking and chasing for the ball on a lazy sunday afternoon. Currently, Team Orange is mainly made up of working adults with an average age of 27, although we do have players as young as 19 up to the age of 39. There is a mixture of Chinese and Malay players as well as a rare breed, who of a Nepalese origin.
